On 9th October 2025, the Charity at [Cookies Cream] Gala Dinner returns—an evening where Berlin’s creative, cultural, and culinary worlds come together to make a difference. Now in its 16th year, this heartfelt event transforms our Michelin-starred dining room into a space for generosity, community, and hope.
Charity at [Cookies Cream] is our annual gala dinner in support of the Mbigili Children’s Village in Tanzania. Launched in 2009 by our founder Cookie Heinz Gindullis and longtime friend and partner Thomas-Marco Steinle, the event has grown into a powerful tradition: one where a Michelin-starred menu meets heartfelt generosity, and where every course served contributes to a brighter future for children in need.
What It’s All About
The Mbigili Children’s Village provides a safe and supportive home to over 80 children and works with more than 50 families in a Home-Based Care Program. Many of these children have experienced neglect, abuse, or abandonment due to poverty. At Mbigili, they find security, education, and emotional support in a nurturing, family-like environment.
Over the years, thanks to this dinner and our incredible community of supporters, we’ve been able to raise hundreds of thousands of euros—every cent of which goes directly to the project. Our guests’ contributions support everything from school tuition and trauma counselling to vocational training and infrastructure.
A Night to Remember
The 2023 edition of the dinner was our most successful yet: with the support of long-time friends and public figures like Ayan Yuruk, Michael Michalsky, Leyla Piedayesh, Michi Beck, Esther Perbandt, and Stefan Konarske, we raised an incredible €125,000 in a single evening.
Past years have welcomed guests such as Daniel Brühl, Guido Maria Kretschmer, Lindiwe & Marius Müller-Westernhagen, Hannelore Elsner, Inga Humpe, Roman Knizka, Shermine Shahrivar, and many more who’ve lent their voices- and hearts – to the cause.
It’s Not Just Dinner. It’s a Lifeline.
What makes this evening so impactful is that 100% of the proceeds go to the children – every euro, every moment, every gesture. The dinner is fully self-funded by the organisers, with Cookies Cream, suppliers, partners, and friends coming together to make it happen.
